Pay Star International – Collect The Debt

Posted by admin | May 5th, 2010

Debtors who are contacted by debt collection agencies would be well served by simply paying their debts. Barring that, they should at least set up a plan to pay off the debts. If they don’t then the agencies can report them to credit ratings agencies. Companies like Pay Star International don’t want that, they simply want to collect the debt.

Paystar International – Receive Their First Formal Communication

Posted by admin | April 8th, 2010

It is in the interest of debt collection agencies and the companies they represent to recover overdue or defaulted accounts. As such, many collection agencies including Paystar International are willing to work with debtors in order to agree a reduced settlement fee or a regular repayment plan. However, in order to agree to one of these, it is obviously important that you contact the collection agency that you are dealing with. If you haven’t been provided with information regarding the original debt then you can legally request it but ignoring communication will only worsen the problem.

To increase the likelihood of a regular repayment plan being accepted you should attempt to make an initial repayment in line with the amount you wish to pay. This shows willing and ability on your behalf. Paystar International and some other debt collection agencies purchase the debt outright from companies and this gives them the freedom to accept repayment plans if it suits them and if they believe that it will improve their chances of recovering their money.

You should make contact with Paystar International when you receive their first formal communication informing you of their involvement. Communication, at this stage, still remains friendly and reasonably informal. However, if you ignore letters then the next step will usually be to try contacting you by phone at home. Again, if this fails and they have your work telephone number then they may attempt to contact you using this method. Home visits from a Paystar International representative and negative reporting on your credit score are possible alternatives.
